Jeff Breinig passes away
On Dec. 26, one of our Tuesday night tracksters, Jeff Breinig, age 58, passed away. He had just eaten lunch with friends and died suddenly at home, possibly from a blood clot. Jeff was wanting to run his first marathon at Chevron Houston Jan. 14 and had been diligently training. He was raising money for Snowdrop Foundation to fight cancer.
Jeff was a friendly, great guy. He had run the Turkey Trot with his 11-year-old grandson. Now the grandson wants to run the Boston Marathon in Jeff's memory.
We will miss Jeff Breinig as a member of Finish Line Sports. He passed away too soon and too suddenly. Funeral services are next week in Kansas City, where his family is from.
